User Data Deletion Instructions

You can ask us to delete personal data that this inbox stored after a Facebook Page conversation or a website chat. Deletion is available to customers, Page admins, and staff users.

How to submit a request

1. Email [email protected].
2. Use the subject line “Data deletion request”.
3. Tell us who you are and what to delete: Facebook Page name, approximate date, Messenger conversation, staff username, or widget visitor name.
4. Send the request from an address we can reply to. We may ask one follow-up question to confirm the request.

What we delete

• Matching conversations and message text stored on this service.
• Related Messenger identifiers we stored for that conversation (such as PSID and message IDs).
• Staff accounts and profile fields if you ask us to close a staff user.

After we complete the request, that data is no longer available in the inbox. Messages that already appeared in Facebook Messenger remain under Meta’s control. We may keep a minimal record of the request itself (date and the email you used) so we can show that we handled it.

Typical timing

We aim to complete requests within 30 days of being able to identify the records.

Removing the app from your Facebook account

If you connected a Facebook account or Page to this app, you can also remove the app from your Facebook settings. That stops new authorization from that account. To wipe copies already stored here, still send the email above.
